Me & my Grandma. I miss you Grandma.

As I mentioned previously, Christmas is a season that has always had a strong family feeling associated with it. My grandma left this earth quite a few years back and if she was still with us she would have celebrated her birthday today and she was the glue who held the family together.

On Christmas Day after families had time to open the gifts from Santa, the family would get together and have a big family pot luck and also open some more presents given between families. It was such a special time to have such a big family together and celebrate time together and celebrate being such a close knit family. My grandma made this all possible.

After my grandma passed away this family tradition quickly passed away. My grandma worked so hard to keep the family together through good times and bad. It’s amazing how much of a positive impact one person can have a such a large family.

There have been Christmas gatherings after my grandmas passing but with out her there it just isn’t the same. Happy Birthday Grandma, I miss you and thanks for everything you ever did for me. I think of you often!
